Twice winner of National Essay Competition.

Very active in social and community work especially in matters relating to Residents’ Associations (RAs) and Management Corporations (MCs). Have given many talks relating to the subject throughout Penang and in capacity as State Gerakan Housing Bureau Chairman. Sits on many Advisory Boards for RAs/MCs. Also works with many NGOs relating to senior citizens, handicapped and single mothers.

Member of State Local Government Committee, State Housing Committee and Infrastructure & Public Utilities Committee (2004-2008)

26 years of providing service to the community. Started with the Residents Association of Bandar Bayan Baru in 1982 and served as its Hon. Secretary in the 80s and early 90s for a period of 10 years.
